MW4 PC requirements: specs are still not official

MW4 is confirmed for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2. Activision has confirmed PC security requirements and feature direction, but has not published the CPU, GPU, RAM, storage or DirectX targets needed to run the game.

As of the July 12 source check, Activision has not released the official minimum or recommended CPU, GPU, RAM, storage or DirectX targets for Modern Warfare 4. We will publish those figures only when a first-party page supplies them; another Call of Duty game's list is not an MW4 requirement.

The official MW4 page lists TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot as required for PC, and says other security measures may be enforced. This is a launch requirement boundary, not a full performance spec: it does not tell you which CPU, GPU, RAM amount, storage size or frame-rate target to buy for.

A safe PC-upgrade hold list

1. Check firmware settings first. Before buying parts, confirm whether your current PC can support TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. Some systems only need BIOS or Windows configuration changes.

2. Do not buy to a guessed list. A feature such as ray tracing may be optional and does not reveal the minimum configuration. Wait for the official minimum and recommended rows before choosing CPU, GPU or storage specifically for MW4.
